Welcome to MPPIX
It gives me great pleasure to announce that team MPPIX has gained two extra photographers, Ben Hennessy & Kevin Noon. Ben was with us years ago and was eager to get involved again once he knew that we were launching the site again. Kevin is a new face to MPPIX and we are looking forward to seeing what images he produces.
Busy week for us on the run up to Trackrod Rally Yorkshire… It’s Mark and Sarah’s first wedding anniversary on Thursday, and Sarah’s birthday on Friday – then heading out into Dalby Forest for some classic rally action.
Something of a change for us this weekend as we spent the day up at a very sunny Croft Circuit taking photographs at the 10th round of the 2009 MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship. We only did the Saturday as a bit of a test to see if we enjoyed it… enjoyed it??? BLOODY LOVED IT!!!
Such a great friendly crowd of people, great weather, great action, and get this.. beer on tap!
We are using the online gallery service Zenfolio to sell our images. We are also very aware that people’s taste varies tremendously with photography, some people like a close cropped image of the subject, while others prefer a more scenery in the photo. The beauty of our gallery account is that you have the ability to crop the images if you desire
We headed over to New Brighton nice and early this morning for the Promenade Stages, was a pretty uneventful journey until we saw a massive white phallic erection raised out of the trees and pointing at the sky near Widness – what the hell??? – made even worse by nearby signs for “Gulliver’s World”… so they’ve strapped him to the ground and it would seem he’s enjoying it!!!
On to the event, other than a pretty cold downfall mid morning the weather held out although hats and gloves replaced the traditional shorts and tee. The competition was as lively and enjoyable as always. Was the first time Sarah had been to the Promenade Stages and it certainly wont be the last – see you there again next year!
