Well the Grizedale Stages 2009 is almost here and the latest press release from the club points to the rally still running, even though parts of Cumbria are suffering some horrific weather (another four inches is predicted to fall in the highlands today/tomorrow)
The Grizedale Stages has turned into a bit of a traditional “End of Season” party for the MPPIX Team with an annual weekend in Ambleside and usually staggering out of the White Lion!!!
Obviously our thoughts are with all those affected, and we’ll be keeping a close eye on the weather and roads into the area for the next week…

Howdy, Ben here… just writing to introduce the brand spanking new MPPIX website. The Gaffer decided he wanted us all to contribute to the blog feature of the old site and this got me thinking, firstly how lazy he is and secondly – let’s make life easy and redesign the whole site incorporating proper blog functionality so we can all do it properly. Not had an update for a while as we have been on a well needed holiday in Tenerife, not all relaxing by the pool though, we climbed to the summit of El Teide while we were out there (12,198 feet)
Busy week for us on the run up to Trackrod Rally Yorkshire… It’s Mark and Sarah’s first wedding anniversary on Thursday, and Sarah’s birthday on Friday – then heading out into Dalby Forest for some classic rally action.
After taking a few years out of motorsport, primarily to sort out our wedding and just to have a break, I decided it was time to look at getting back out to the action, the excitement, the early mornings and the smell of bacon wafting through the forests…
Rather than a “we are back” blah blah re-launch of archived images, it’s time for a change, a fresh start.
