Welcome to MPPIX

Sarah and I will be missing this years Grizedale Stages Rally this weekend and also the Neil Howard Memorial Stages next week, thanks to me catching swine flu last week and subsequently getting a nice dose of bronchitis too…. So the decision to stay at home and keep warm seems more practical then spending a day out in the wet (and possibly white) Cumbrian forests…
Well the Grizedale Stages 2009 is almost here and the latest press release from the club points to the rally still running, even though parts of Cumbria are suffering some horrific weather (another four inches is predicted to fall in the highlands today/tomorrow)
The Grizedale Stages has turned into a bit of a traditional “End of Season” party for the MPPIX Team with an annual weekend in Ambleside and usually staggering out of the White Lion!!!
Obviously our thoughts are with all those affected, and we’ll be keeping a close eye on the weather and roads into the area for the next week…
Will update again soon

Howdy, Ben here… just writing to introduce the brand spanking new MPPIX website. And here is the result…

Getting ready for the Roger Albert Clark Rally, just need to choose which of the many stages to go to, at the moment it looks like we’ve got Mark and Kevin out with cameras (as Sarah’s going out on a girlie weekend!!)

What a day, the weather forecast was wet and windy…. And this time they got it right, gale force winds and hardcore rainfall! We had to go into Pickering after SS1 to buy Sarah a new umbrella as hers inverted and died in a big way. The afternoon was a bit milder – it was possible to stand up straight and hold a brolly! Then the sun came out just as the last few cars came through!!
We are very happy to announce that MPPIX are the official photographers for the MFR 2009

Not had an update for a while as we have been on a well needed holiday in Tenerife, not all relaxing by the pool though, we climbed to the summit of El Teide while we were out there (12,198 feet)
